[DN] Techno Rocker {Remix}

"Meh"

date: September 12, 2009

Most of this sounds pretty muddy. Be careful with the compression and limiters and such; They really worked negatively for you here. The lead, which I'm assuming is nexus, sounds badly distorted, and the sidechain masked that to only a certain extent.

Another important thing is that your kick is far too soft for this track. It needs a lot more punch to it, because now it isn't helping your song.

I'm not going to critique the structure or composition of this song, because that isn't bad, and its not what I think you should be paying attention to. You should improve upon the mix of this first. Equalize every part more carefully, and find a better mix with limiters and compressors before finishing something. This can really help make your songs sound loads more pleasant :3

I like it, it has a great feel to it. The bassline sounds very uplifting, and the lead and arp compliment it very well.
This would work well for a simplistic trance song imo, as long as you keep all the elements that this loops has which keep it so happy :3

Ever tried mixing this? Or using a compressor? The lack of effort towards mastering makes this sounds somewhat hard to listen to. Its like I have autism, everything is at the same level, and none of these synths sound tweaked with at all. Just picked and piled on randomly, so many of them don't match at all. The structure and composition isn't bad, its actually pretty good.

Its just the sound quality of everything is bad. The percussion sounds just ugly, and your lead sounds really weak and out of place. It also becomes repetitive towards the middle, and the bass just disappears.

You did do well though, considering what you used. But really, this isn't anything remotely special. I'm honestly not taking points off because of this, but I don't see why its so popular.

Now please, mark this review as useless since it isn't a ten.
